He's a brown-eyed, blond-haired cutie! Time is just flying by with my little Monson boy. He's such a sweet, happy boy. I could stare at his perfect face all day long.
Monson thinks he's a big boy and wants to do all the same things his older siblings do. He's a full-on walker and is usually carrying something while walking. He loves to carry socks around, one in each hand, or a ball or one of my 3 lbs. weights. He still falls quite a bit while walking, but it never deters him. He just gets right back up and keeps going.
Monson has said "mama" a couple of times! Damon's first word was "dada" so it's nice that Monson's first word was my name. He doesn't have any other actual words he says, but he is really good at sounds like "huh" and "yeah" and things like that. He also is getting good at communicating with sign language. He says "more" a lot and he made up his own sign for milk. Instead of opening and closing his hand, which is the correct sign for milk, he has decided that he will pat his leg to tell me that he wants milk. Once I figured out that that's what he was doing, it has worked great. I guess anything can be sign language as long as it is consistent.
Monson would like playing with Damon if Damon was a little softer with him. A very common phrase in our house is, "Buds, be soft with Monson please!" There have been a couple of times that Damon is soft enough with Monson that they can wrestle around a little, but when Damon pushes Monson down or sits on him or grabs him in the face or neck, Monson screams and lets Damon know he's not happy and then I usually have to intervene.
Monson loves to eat! He will eat anything he finds on the ground and will eat anything we give him at the table. And he prefers to feed himself, instead of us spoon feeding him. When I changed his diaper today, a bunch of rice fell out.
Speaking of changing diapers, it is so difficult to change Monson's diaper because he wiggles so much! He hates to sit still so I have to wrestle him to get his diaper on!
We just love our Monson boy so much. He is so precious, loving, and happy.

That boy is a walking walker! He is quite fearless. So cute and definitely more Derington looking than Damon.
