Sophie Pictures
We got some pictures taken when Sophie was 10 days old. After about 3 hours, we were able to get a few good ones. I'm trying to decide which one I should make into a canvas picture and put on my wall. Any suggestions?

Family Pictures 2009
We took some family pictures this weekend. What do you think?
We tried to get Avery to stand the same way the rest of us were standing, but she just wanted to do her own thing...and it turned out really cute.
After a couple hundred (literally) shots, I think we ended up with some good pictures.

Becky took pictures for us and I took them for her. I'm not sure which is harder, getting 3 kids to look at the camera at the same time or getting a baby to put up with getting her pictures taken for more than 5 minutes.

Baby Pics
We had a little photo shoot today with Nicoley Oley. She is 3 weeks old and sooo cute.
I also discovered that not only did my flowers that I planted last year come back, but they also survived the snow a few days ago. Apparently I need to pull some weeds.

Weeping Non Willows
What happens when it snows after the trees have already started blooming?
Trees die!
This morning we couldn't believe what our yard looked like! It's the middle of April! I didn't know tree branches could touch the ground....unless you have a weeping willow. Our trees look like they are weeping.

I guess we don't need to prune them now.

I discovered the after-math when I got home from work. The snow had melted off the trees and we were left with a yard full of broken branches.
I guess we don't need to prune them now.

She's Here!
I would like to introduce Nicole Marie Kimball.

Becky got to the hospital at 6am Monday, March 30. They put her on Oxytocin to get the labor going. Around noon she got an epidural.
I got to the hospital around 1:30pm.
Then we waited...and waited....and waited.
Finally at 7:30pm it was time for Becky to start pushing. She pushed...and pushed...and pushed. Finally at 10:15pm Nicole arrived.
Nicole weighs 8 lbs. 9 ounces and is 20.5 inches long. She has light brown hair and beautiful brown eyes.
Mom and baby are doing well.

How We Spent Our Saturday
Today has been a productive day at the Mecham house. I cleaned the main floor while Anthon worked in the basement. Our basement is unfinished and we've been talking about finishing it since we bought the house...2 years ago. Anthon has had a little bit of a slow time with his heating and air business so he's had some time to work on the basement. Our first priority has been to finish the food storage room.

And to finish off a very productive day, we are going on a date!
Apparently it used to be a root cellar so the floor was all dirt! Anthon dug out all the dirt and put cement down.
Then, a few months later, he framed and sheetrocked.
And today he finished the first set of shelves. We were going to buy those fancy shelves that automatically roll your cans so they are first in/first out. Anthon took one look at those $300 shelves and said, "I can make those." And make them he did!
I'm so excited to be able to start buying food storage now that we have a place to put it!
After cleaning the house I took some family pictures for someone in my ward. She needed someone to take family pictures for her that was cheap and I am free so it worked out. If you remember, I blogged about wanting to become a good photographer so this was good practice for me. Shelly said I could post a couple small pictures that I took so you can see how awesome I am.
