I'm still trying to catch up on some things that happened this summer and Danielle's 15th birthday is one of them. We had to celebrate her birthday a few days early because she had girl's camp on her actual birth day. On Friday July 31st was the first celebration. We went to Grandma and Grandpa Mecham's house because Rachel and her kids were still in town from the reunion and the only thing the older kids wanted to do was play with their cousins. The older kids had gone to Lagoon with their cousins the day before and then spent the night there. There was a carnival being put on by their ward so Anthon, the little kids and I drove up to go to that with everyone. It was a lot of fun and there were a bunch of game booths, a dunk tank (Avery got dunked), free popcorn, free ice cream, prizes, free hot dogs, and a bunch of other fun stuff. We let the older kids go off by themselves with their cousins and Anthon and I did the game booths with the little boys.
Afterwards we went back to their house to open presents with Danielle. Grandma had brought all the kids to the dollar store earlier that day to buy presents for Danielle, so everyone had something to give her.
The older kids spent the night at Grandma's again that night (we really couldn't get them to separate from their cousins!) and the next morning they all (the ones that were old enough) went to the temple to do baptisms.
Saturday night we continued Danielle's birthday celebration by going out to eat to Mi Ranchito. Danielle got to wear a huge sombrero because it was her birthday.
I can't believe we have a 15 year old in the house! She has her driving permit now and she is learning how to drive. Crazy! Happy birthday Danielle!
